| Introduction | I am a student at UNC-Chapel Hill. My english class is currently studying public issues and I have chosen to focus on the issues surrounding illegal immigration. Illegal immigration is a topic that is quarreled over and discussed immensely because of its growing affect on all United States citizens. I decided to explore the subject because I’ve noticed how the dynamics of my community have changed over the past five years. My personal experience with immigration pertains to education. In high school, I encountered overcrowding in my classes and a prevalent language barrier. I observed the exponential growth of the Hispanic population from freshman to senior year. I have also been exposed to the troubles of illegal immigration in schools through my mom and her profession as a principal. I encourage you to read my posts and share your thoughts, concerns and personal experiences regarding immigration. All comments are greatly appreciated.
