| Introduction | Baking is truly a passion of mine! I love the challenges and creativity associated with the unique types of orders I receive. I have a full-time job in the Publishing Industry and run The Icing on the Cake as a side business. I live in the suburbs of Chicago, but am originally from Wausau, Wisconsin. My husband--and highschool sweetheart and I have been married for almost 7 years! He is a great support to me, and always encouraging me to push myself, and get better prices on ingredients, as he is an Ingredient Buyer for Pepsi, Co. I have always loved baking and about three years ago, I started making cakes for my co-workers, which turned into starting this business to keep up with all the subsequent cake orders. It has been a blast to grow in my techniques and try new recipes all along the way. |
