| Introduction | Although I grew up in Tennessee and now live on a tree farm in Oregon, my ancestral roots are from Scotland and Ireland...and I dream of traveling there one day. For now, I'm enjoying the mountaintop view from our front porch. I'm married to my handsome "macho logger tree farmer". I have three grown children and six grandchildren...soon to be seven since my daughter and her husband are adopting a beautiful baby boy from Ethiopia! I'm a Registered Nurse, but thankfully retired! I love painting, sewing, quilting, making lifelike "reborn" baby dolls and writing my blogs. I thank my Heavenly Father every single day for the joy of living through Jesus Christ. The last time I was a "fan" of anyone was many years ago when I stood in line on a icy cold day in February to see a young Elvis Presley in Memphis, Tennessee; but, to be honest, I'm a much bigger fan of Susan Boyle! First of all, I love her incredible voice, but even more than that...I love her spunky personality and the fact she's had to wait so long to see her dream fulfilled. I find I have a protective streak where Susan's concerned, and I feel like the big sister who won't let anyone "pick on her"! |
