| Introduction | Ever since I started to college 63 years ago, I have spent a large part of my time making things that are more or less artistic in nature — paintings, drawings, prints, posters, fliers, catalogs, books, magazines, and, more recently, photographs, stories, and digital art of one sort or another. The total number of things I’ve made would be staggering if there was some way to count them, but in the normal course of events most of them have been lost or forgotten. Even so, the ones I have managed to keep number in the hundreds, or maybe thousands. About 15 years ago, I thought it would be a good idea to catalog some of those things while I could still remember (more or less) when and why I had made them. Since then, I’ve been weed- ing, organizing, making lists, taking pictures, writing descriptions, and assembling the results. - DM |
