Occupation | ESOL teacher, general & business English |
Location | United Kingdom |
Introduction | With CELTA and FCTBE I taught general and business English to in-work French adults in one-to-one and small group classes, in-house and at company premises in and around Lyon. The language school has a portfolio of French multi-national, national and company clients and I've taught learners of all levels here since June 2008. After time in the RAF, during which I studied with the Open University in Arts and Humanities, I took a degree in Philosophy and Sociology. English by birth, I used to work across the South, S. East and S.West of the UK in business development/sales and marketing roles in several commercial sectors: newspaper and glossy magazine advertising; client banking services; healthcare insurance and as sales and marketing manager with a service provision company to NHS, private and independent hospitals. Before retraining in Switzerland as ESOL teacher I managed an area of the French Alps for a ski-transfer company. |
