Occupation | Novelist, poet, freelance writer, Kundalini Yoga teacher, Crystal therapist |
Location | Brighton, East Sussex, United Kingdom |
Introduction | I am a writer, poet, and yoga teacher, and became a mother in 2007. Originally from South Africa, I was drawn to Brighton because I love the sea and identified with its bohemian atmosphere. This is a place where everything seems possible. Brighton provides me with inspiration to write on a daily basis. My poetry has appeared in various literary magazines and my poetry pamphlet 'The Bare Bones Volume 2' is now available at City Books in Hove. I have performed regularly at local events over the past 5 years and appeared on local 'Radio Reverb' to discuss and perform my poetry. I have written two children's books and am currently working on a novel for adults. As a mother I practice attachment parenting and am a long term breastfeeder. Training as a breastfeeding counsellor is a constant source of inspiration. I am devoted to parenting unconditionally from the heart and through connection rather than coercion. My spiritual life is the base of everything I do and incorporates Kundalini Yoga practice and meditation; Buddhist teachings; singing, dancing, walking in nature. But being a mother is my primary spiritual path at the moment. |
