| Introduction | Welcome to my "Country" photo blog! I have been an amateur photographer since I purchased my first 35mm SLR camera in 2001. I began taking many pictures in Spring 2002, as highway construction commenced in front of the house.(I have been interested in heavy construction equipment since I was 7!) Currently, the main camera I use is a Nikon D60 with an 18-200 lens. **Edit 06/2011: I JUST bought a D90 yeahhh!!** My old 35mm, which took all the photos before May 2009, is a Minolta X700. Despite liking film, digital definitely has some advantages! That being said, I fear that film photography may soon become a dying art! To date, my favorite photographic subjects include insects, flowers, clouds, landscapes, waterscapes, concerts, events, and heavy equipment. While photography is not my only hobby, it is definitely one of my largest! I have many hobbies/interests in addition to photography, including weather, singing Country, bike riding (which I don't get around to doing too much of lately), watermelon growing, music production, folk dancing, attending concerts, and simply enjoying God's creation.
