Introduction	Pavur is a small village of South India in the state of Kerala. It is situated at the border district of Kasargod and is located between the towns of Kasargod (30 km) and Mangalore (25 km, Karnataka State). Holy Cross Church is in the Diocese of Mangalore. Geographically this area belongs to Kerala but ecclesiastically to the Diocese of Mangalore in Karnataka. There are 150 families in the Holy Cross Church Parish, of which 140 families are Tulu Christians (Scheduled Tribes) and 10 Konkani speaking Families. This parish became a prominent centre for evangelization and social development for the local tribal community and the neighbouring communities. Now the parish has extended to a wide area covering a large number of people from the hilly areas.
