| Introduction | Ernest is an associate professor at the University of South Africa’s School of Computing, he lectures Software Engineering & Software Project Management to honours students. He also supervises a number of master & doctoral students & has lectured in ICT for over 15 years. Ernest’s educational background includes an honours degree in Electrical Engineering, a master degree in Computer Science, and a PhD in Software Engineering. He is a certified Scrum Master. Prof Mnkandla researches in software engineering, software project management (tools and techniques), the relations between PMI’s PMBOK and Agile Project Management, the adoption issues in agile software development methods, the broader issues of software process improvement (SPI) and predictive analytics and project management intelligence. He is passionate about improving the quality of software development at an individual developer’s level i.e. the Personal Software Process (PSP) and he coaches young developers to measure and improve their performance. Ernest has presented extensively on agile methodologies and software development project management within Africa and internationally. |
