Introduction | I have studied weather ever since 1994, when I was in the fourth grade. By my sixth grade year, my middle school started a school TV news show, in which I was part of the weather team. I did the weather every morning for six months, and was promoted in the team to the Chief Forecaster position. I covered several important weather events between then and 1998 when I moved, including the April 8, 1998 and April 16, 1998 tornado outbreaks. By August 1998, I moved to Pell City, AL and began to attend the high school there. We soon started a TV news program here in which I was dubbed the Chief Forecaster here. Some of the most memorable events I covered during high school were the December 16, 2000; November 24, 2001; November 10, 2002; December 18, 2003; Tornado Week 2003; and November 18, 2003 tornadoes. I also covered Hurricanes, Georges, Charley, and Ivan (the latter two even after my graduating in 2002), and Tropical Storm Bill of 2003. I have been a trained SKYWARN spotter for a few years now, but have storm chased for eight years. Memorable chases include May 29-31, 2004; April 14, 2007; and numerous events in the mid/late 1990s. |

When you open your eyes underwater, do you ever worry that you'll drown?
No....because I never get into water that is too deep for me to stand in.
