Introduction I'm living in Los Angeles and wishing I could move to a farm in the country. Doesn't that sound nice? Raise some animals, grow my own food, maybe art. The problem is I know 2 things: 1. I'd starve on a farm since I have a hard enough time keeping my little garden here alive; and 2. I love LA. I do. I love it here. Especially now that Bryan and I live in this converted carriage house in Echo Park. Here's what I love about LA: the food, my friends; the heat; Echo Park Lake; hiking trails within 2 minutes from me; downtown within 2 minutes from me; theater; film, especially: the New Beverly, the Vista and the Egyptian; Chinatown, Little Tokyo and Thai Town; the food. So I can't leave here. I love it here. But I still have images of myself running a farm, and maybe someday...but for now I'm trying to live as green as possible, leave a light footprint, and grow some of my own food.
