| Introduction | I am a teacher/missionary that loves tropical weather and once wished I was a native Californian (the current state of the state has changed my mind). My house has a tropical theme. I have a patio table in my dining room and an airbed in my bedroom. My kitchen is very rarely used. I collect butterflies and lighthouses. I am getting better at growing plants. I have a mix of real greens and silks. I grew up in a Christian home. But didn't know what salvation was until I turned 28—cried big tears of joy when I realized I didn't have to be "good" to get to heaven, that salvation was a free gift and Jesus was my friend and savior. That was the best news I ever heard! |
| Interests | Music, writing and photography. My dream is to become a musician, a writer and a photographer making a living off my hobbies. I learned to play the saxophone at age 35 and am now enjoying my golden years. I enjoy reading and scrapbooking. I like to draw and paint but my perfectionist nature keeps me from doing either. I want to sing but never sing loud enough to be heard. I love to travel, being a missionary helped make that dream come true. |
You've successfully slain the dragon! How will you toast your marshmallows?
Profile update: I am now a retired teacher and no longer live in the house that was decorated like the tropics inside. I have lived in two places since that home. I am now what you might call a vagabond, or a journeymen(woman/person). As a missionary I put my travel dreams into action...as a retired teacher I am living that dream again.
