| Introduction | Grew up in Eastern Oregon; graduated with honors from high school, National Merit scholar, attended the U. of Oregon in Eugene and Eastern Oregon College (now University) in La Grande, graduated with BA in English; also earned Certificates at Bellevue Community College in Technical Writing and Professional and Technical Editing; have been employed in health care most of my life, now retired; currently reside in Imnaha, Oregon with husband Sam (also Now retired from health care); no children, but have had numerous cats and horses through the years; now have a German Shepherd dog named Roxi and two horses: my 30-year-old Arabian mare Hadarah, known as Cissie, and my nine-year-old Friesian cross gelding Laddie. Current passion, in addition to writing, is my highly customized Brilliant Black 1996 Miata MX-5, which I LOVE to drive and take to car shows or race when I have the opportunity. I recently published a book of poetry entitled Howling at the Dark Side of the Moon. I also raise purebred Nubian dairy goats and a small flock of Border Leicester sheep. |

| Favorite Movies | I prefer action movies, mysteries, or anything sci-fi. I do NOT like "chick flicks." Smoke with Harvey Keitel and William Hurt, Gladiator, Army of Darkness with Bruce Campbell, Star Wars, Terminator 2, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Forbidden Planet, Stargate, Blade Runner, The Day the Earth Stood Still (original), Jurassic Park, Invasion of the Body Snatchers (original). Non sci-fi movies would include the Conan movies, Lord of the Rings, The Hunt for Red October, Patriot Games, and all of the Indiana Jones movies. |
| Favorite Music | Classic Rock mostly, though I listen to many genres including jazz, classical and reggae. By and large I do not like Rap, because of its content and monotonous sound. Favorite artists include The Beatles, The Eagles, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Doors, Cream, Bob Dylan, Billy Idol, and the Travelling Wilburys. Favorite pieces of classical music include Vivaldi's Four Seasons, Mozart's Eine Kleine Nachtmusic, and Andres Segovia's classical guitar; jazz favorites would be Dave Brubeck's Take Five and most of Stan Getz/Gilberto's collaboration. |
| Favorite Books | Currently reading the Ender's Game and Shadow Series by Orson Scott Card. I've read Lord of the Rings more times than any other book. Favorite authors include Hemingway, T.S. Eliot, and Tom Clancy. I have been greatly influenced by the book Riding Logic by Wilhelm Museler and also nearly everything Charles de Kunffy has written. Right now I am reading George R.R. Martin's Game of Thrones and its sequels. |
