Introduction	I have had a reverence for nature since I was a small child playing on the beach. Watching the crabs scurry away to hiding when I turn over a rock. Hearing the gulls crying. Feeling the water lapping over my toes, and the sun lapping over my mostly bare skin. I enjoy philosophical questions about the meaning of life, but I am not troubled by them. Life doesn't need a purpose because LIFE IS ITS OWN PURPOSE. No doubt this is a philosophically naive position that has been raised by many other people before. Fine, then, at least some other people get it - hopefully they also get with it a reverence for all living and growing things and the non-living environment that sustains us. As for me, I am the son of a fisherman, born on the beach. The ocean is the brother of my blood. And I have learned to love my brothers and sisters of the sand, dirt, forest and mountains just as much.
Interests	Hanging out with my wife, reading, sailing, hiking, anything to do with oceans or running water, forests, mountains.
