Introduction	I come from small village in Kerala, a tiny state in the southern strip of India. Kerala is famous for it’s 100 percent literacy rate, impressive health care standards and many other social indices which are comparable with the most developed countries in the world. Kerala is widely known as ‘God’s own Country’ for its natural beauty, with it’s long sea shores, 44 rivers & scenic backwaters etc. My village is in the bank of one such river, ‘Pamba’. Villagers here mostly do paddy cultivation for living. This is one of the few places in the world where farming is carried out below sea level…!!. It’s a matter of surprise for many, the fact that, one cannot still reach my village by road… as it’s not connected by one..!!!. I was born & brought up in there, currently based in CA, USA.
