| Introduction | Hurray – it’s time for me! I minded my manners as a kid, earned college degrees, married, raised a family, volunteered, had a marcom career, am a published writer and ran a few small businesses. In ‘02, I left my career to launch a foundation to raise money for research on some rare neurological conditions and to help affected people. I have one of these conditions, which impairs my legs and thus my ability to walk. I use a crutch but need a scooter for long distances. Dealing with a mobility handicap is often challenging but most of the time, doable so I am charging ahead. A new life focus is outdoor recreation. I trike, bike, kayak and sail. Next up: fishing and camping. I’ll also revive my photography and writing interests, continue to do foundation volunteer work, enjoy my family and friends and find new things to learn and experience. |
