| Introduction | The rise of ignorance and the acceptance of mediocrity are the fatal flaws of today's society. Remaining unaware and unashamed of the inability to think critically about desicions made within the government, desicions that so strongly impact our everyday lives, will eventually cause us to self destruct. I consider myself to be a fairly liberal person however, if I find my myself agreeing with another party's views, so-be-it. I believe that my experiences growing up in a highly conservative family have played a great role in shaping my political views and my, left leaning, political ideology. I am taking this class, of course for credit, but also to help become more informed and able to act as a productive and effective member of society. |
