| Introduction | Jack of all trades master of none, I’ve been a banker, a publisher, a journalist and, at the end, for the last 25 years, a computer programmer. Now I’m officially retired. Only officially, though. I’m the director of LusoPresse, a printed newspaper for the Portuguese speaking community of Quebec, Canada. Lately I become a TV commentator on LusaQ.TV a Portuguese program in ICI channel. |
| Interests | I read a lot, from novels to technical books, but I prefer political e sociological essays, My profound motivation is to understand the world where we live and the ways people choose to carry their lives. I consider myself agnostic, but I enjoy talking, writing and reading about religion. Second to reading is travelling. I’ve already lived in three continents (Europe, Africa and North America) and I’ve travelled to Africa, Asia, North and Central America and Europe. Hiking, cycling, and walking are my preferred outdoors activities. Writing is another way of ‘existing’. I maintain several blogs, in Portuguese, French and English, along with my editorial assignment to the LusoPresse newspaper, in Montreal, Canada. Lately I become a TV commentator on LusaQ.TV a Portuguese program in ICI channel. |
| Favorite movies | I used to be very found of Italian and French movies. Very little of Hollywood style. Unfortunately American films have eclipsed every other national and foreign films. “Nous nous sommes tant aimés”, “Affreux sales et méchants”, “Le bal”, “la famiglia”, “la stanza del figlio”, “ Ma Nuit Chez Maude”, “ Being John Malkovich”, “Au revoir, les enfants”, “Le festin de Babette”, “Belle de Jour”, “The Bicycle Thief”, “La vita e bella”, ”Breaking the Waves”, “Wings of Desire”, “Est of Eden”, “ The English Patient”, “Trilogie: Trois Couleurs”, and so on, and so on... are part of my best recollection of movies I've seen. |
