Grappling With Partners

Introduction	Having previously served as both a soldier in the U.S. Army and a police officer in Orange County, CA, my path to running, and building, partnership organizations has been circuitous and rather unique. But, whether in the field or in the office, I've found connecting with others to be one of the most powerful drivers of long-term success. As a result, I've developed a deep appreciation for the role that partnerships, and relationships with adjacent organizations, can, and should, play in helping martech organizations achieve success. As an avid Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner for the better part of the past decade, I've also seen how the challenges my training partners and I face, and overcome, on the mats translates incredibly well into business, partnerships, and life. Through the lens of physically grappling with opponents, both friendly and fierce, we'll look at the makings of a great partner organization and how to build, and refine them. Occasionally the lens will shift a bit with guests and other passions (namely mountain bikes and good beer) making regular appearances and, in the end, we'll hope to have some fun and learn a few things along the way.
