| Introduction | I grew up in New Jersey, graduated from Gettysburg College (67), Rutgers (MBA accounting 1969), Golden Gate Univ (MBA taxation 1983). I started my real career in 1969, in Boston, with Arthur Andersen & Co., who transferred me to San Francisco in 1974. I married Valerie (Dreher), who happened to grow up with me in Bernardsville, NJ, in 1972. We raised two boys, Geoffrey (1974) and Bradley (1978). I left Andersen in 1977, had a local CPA practice and then took a corporate job with SunGard Data Systems in 1984. I retired from that in 2007. I still do CPA work, and I work at Guide Dogs for the Blind one day a week. I'm also on the board of The Mountain Play Association, a Marin Country theatrical organization. I'm an avid golfer, but probably will never get to a single digit handicap (but I'll keep trying). |
