| Introduction | Hi, I'm Elena Puntin, I'm Italian and I live on a small sailing boat (Mabel) with my companion, two cats and a dog. I studied art at the Gorizia School of Art in Italy for five years and specialised in working with wood. Being inquisitive I then began to experiment with other natural materials including driftwood, coconuts and shells that I found on beaches. Initially I was designing for myself but my friends wanted my work and kept pushing me into new areas. I then started experimenting with bone, which I found to be an excellent material, longlasting, soft enough to be worked and beautiful when polished. Now my work is well known amongst the international sailing community and ashore. The pictures you saw on this site are just a sample of some of the pieces I have crafted over the years.
