| Introduction | ‘Ello! I go by Lord Byron, but my friends just call me George! I was born in England in 1788, though I am not in England at the moment. Have you ever heard of a Byronic hero? Well that term came from me! I am a bit of a rebel. Lady Caroline Lamb says I’m mad, bad and dangerous to know, but to the Greeks, I am a national hero for my support in the Greek War of Independence. I love to write poetry, the ladies like to say I’m romantic. I also like to write play’s and some may call me a satirist, but I mainly like poetry. I published my first works of poetry when I was 14. I was admitted into the house of lords in 1809 and I have traveled all around Europe to share my poetry. You may have heard of She walks in Beauty or Don Juan, some of my favorite and most acclaimed poetic works. Take a gander at my poetry sometime, if you get a chnace.
