| Introduction | In early 2019 I decided to try to do something artistic that was out of my skill set. The reason that I decided to do that was to try to come to grips with my tendency to be overly concerned with other's opinions. I thought that if I could brave putting "unartistic art" out to be seen, I could desensitize my concerns. So... I decided to paint portraits. It was intended to be a "shame exercise". Well the outcome was quite different than I expected. People seemed to like what I was painting. So I continued painting and now I am thoroughly enjoying each new face that I paint. I hope that you will enjoy the ever growing collection of 5x7 acrylic portraits in my "5 x7 Project". From portraits I moved onto painting landscapes, again with my untrained style. I continue to enjoy daring to undertake new artistic journeys and "flying by the seat of my pants" in the process. Thank you for taking the time to take a look! |
