| Introduction | In John 10:10, Jesus said, "I came so they can have real and eternal life, a more full and better life than they ever dreamed of." Our family holds that verse close to our hearts. Last year we began saying, "We're just livin' life!", whenever good things or not so good things came our way. Last year, Steve Irwin had just passed away. What his wife Terri said in a television interview really spoke to us in a powerful way, she said, "He changed the world by giving everyone the message...What I'll miss the most, and it's very selfish...He was fun. He was fun. He taught me it's okay to play in the rain. And splash in my puddle. And let the kids get dirty. And spill ice cream on your pants. He didn't sweat the little stuff. He followed the big picture. And he had fun!" WOW. I just sat there looking at my healthy, blessed family around me, with tears rolling down my cheeks thinking, that's it! She hit the nail right on the head for us. John 10:10 is so powerful. Jesus' peace is powerful. It's okay for us to get dirty, it's okay if we drop ice cream on our clothes, it's okay to just smile in that moment and say, "We're just livin' life!" Life in Christ. PTL! |
