| Introduction | Eric Sims was trained as an actor and director at the University of Albany. After a stint in New York directing Off-Off-Broadway and performing stand up comedy at a variety of shady locations, he moved out to Los Angeles. He served as the Managing Director for the Powerhouse Theatre of Santa Monica for five years, co-producing over 70 shows including the smash hit LA engagement of A Very Merry Unauthorized Children’s Scientology Pageant, The Boomerang Kid- in which the audience used Palm Pilots to wirelessly vote on the choices made by the main character and The 26th Annual LA Weekly Theatre Awards at the Music Box in Hollywood. He has worked for Center Theatre Group since 2005, first in the Marketing Department as Interactive Production Manager and currently as the Operations Manager for the Kirk Douglas Theatre. He also has worked as a reader for CTG’s Literary Department since 2006. He is happily married, has a mopey dog and just celebrated the global economic collapse by buying a very small condo in Culver City Adjacent. |
