| Introduction | Celf Berw is Welsh. Berw meaning “boiling” or “seething” and Celf meaning “arts” or “crafts”. So, Celf Berw … Boiling Arts. The Berw bit came from the name of the road I live in which, in turn, (I think!) took its name from the way the water in the river Taff (running alongside the Berw Road) bubbles over and around the rocks. In the little pools that the rocks have created, the water seems to be boiling as though it is heated from below. How to say Celf Berw...Here goes...
