| Introduction | I am a profesora of Latin American Literatures and Cultures at a medium-sized midwestern public university. My research, teaching, and life are infused with a concern for and celebration of human rights, gender studies, sustainability, visual and film studies...and, I will never give up the printed word - narrative and poetry - in the broad, inclusive sense. I have two daughters who are a joy and a challenge...it's an ongoing process. My partner is a Latin American man of the post-Che-guevara generation - a marxist for the 21st century. Life with him is also a joy and a challenge - an ongoing process. |
