| Introduction | Food was honestly my first love, writing came later. When I write about food, I like to think it comes out sounding romantic. Sometimes I get carried away and it comes out like a harlequin novel. If I had to pick one place to be, to explore, and to live for the rest of my days, it would be a farmer’s market. I would never starve and I would never be bored. This blog is my love letter to the artisans; the people too far past the concept of nine to five jobs to ever look back. The people who are so in love with their food that the thought of keeping it all to themselves would be a crime; a sin even. A lot of foodies only take note of the food, but since the only thing I like more than interesting food is interesting people, I'll be splitting the focus. When I’m not trying to climb into the internet through my laptop screen, I work in Manhattan. I specialize in freelance hospitality. I'm a pastry cook, prep cook, waitress, demo chef, teacher, professional organizer, tour guide, and perpetual intern. In between busy seasons, I dabble in freelance food writing. |
