| Introduction | I met my husband in 2003. We shared the same classroom for the next 3 years, and NEVER said a word other than the occasional "hello." years later, we reconnected. A month later, we were engaged. Days later, we were married. Months later, we had a wonderful wedding reception. A week later, we were celebrating the end of his active duty contract with the US army, as a 1st cav medic. Now, a wonderful year after marriage, and two kittens later, we have found ourselves 8,000 miles apart. Here's my side of the story. The preparation, the carepackages, the Skype dates, the anxiety. You don't have to support the war to support our troops. So many sacrifices have been made on our behalf, the LEAST we can do is pray for them. I encourage you to look up Adopt a US Soldier and do YOUR part as an American citizen. <3 |
