Introduction	I'm 64, a retired newspaper columnist. I wrote columns for 28 years at the Albuquerque Journal. I generally wrote about people who weren't newsmakers. I found them more interesting than the usual suspects.
Interests	Baseball, politics, poker, books and Internet sites I can read without having to worry if someone is looking over my shoulder.
Favorite books	Usually the last good one I read. In this case it would be "The Story of Edgar Sawtelle."
