| Introduction | My dream is... well, actually my dream is changing, morphing, transforming. I'm not sure really what it is anymore ~ it's somewhere between the caterpillar and the butterfly. That's what this blog will be all about, so you'll certainly know when (if?) I figure it all out. I kind of hope I never do. |
| Interests | Ren Faires, Sterling Renaissance Festival, celtic music, folk music, Ireland, Scotland, cooking, baking, genealogy, dark chocolate, ale, cairn terriers, travel, books, reading, poetry, writing, classic films, period movies, fantasy, Jane Austen, Elizabethan times, musical theater, trivia |
| Favorite movies | Wow, there are so many. Casablanca and North by Northwest, most Hitchcock movies, the Jane Austen BBC/A&E series, Pride and Prejudice (with Colin Firth, of course), Love Actually, Pirates and Pirates 2, Harry Potter series, Lord of the Rings series, Shakespeare in Love, Elizabeth, Chocolat (okay, anything with Johnny Depp), Bound, Henry and June, Cool Hand Luke, Gone With the Wind. I love fantasy films like Labyrinth and Legend, adore period movies - especially Elizabethan and Regency, but I enjoy them all if the costuming is good. :) |
| Favorite music | Celtic, Ren Faire, Traditional and acoustic, NightinGael, Town Pants, The Dubliners, pipes and drums, Merry Mischief, Empty Hats, Celticopia, Cricket and Celtic Spirit, Jim Hancock, Wyldefyre, Merry Wives, Tartan Terrors. Classical crossover like Bond and Opera Babes. Classic rock. Musical theater ~ Les Miserables, The Pirate Queen, Miss Saigon, Joseph, Aida, and the list goes on and on and on..... |
| Favorite books | Wow, where to start?? This list is long and varied, and it really depends on my mood. I am often reading more than one book at once, sometimes more than two. Jane Austen (and many of the contemporary sequels); Gone With the Wind; Harry Potter; high fantasy like The Lord of the Rings, Raymond Feist and Melanie Rawn, Dragonlance (the originals); cookbooks; suspense/serial killer novels like Iris Johansen and Philip Margolin, Lisa Jackson, Kay Hooper; Arthurian legends, the Queen Elizabeth Mysteries by Karen Harper. Historical fiction, good biographies, historical texts (original sources). LOTS!!!!! After all, I am a librarian and a book collector.... |
