Introduction	In my previous life I was a motivated career scientist, bent on making a name for myself in the field of Ecology. After completing a PhD, I moved to Reno from Canada to take an academic position at the University of Nevada, Reno. However, the academic rat race was taking its toll on my creativity and my happiness. Now six years, several children, and a Yoga teacher training later I have stepped away from academe. I now spend my time helping people honor the link between body and soul both through yoga asana and henna body art. Perhaps this is misuse of 10 years of education but I feel I've finally found my right livelihood.
