Introduction	My love of food was instilled in me by my family. One of the first things we discuss when we haven't seen a family member for a while is foods we have eaten. I learned to cook as a teenager and I have gained a slightly inflated reputation as someone who knows how to cook. This has more to do with me muttering, cursing, laughing, shouting and singing when I cook than to any real technical perfection. I have lived in Davis for about 10 years now. I have made it my quest to try every restaurant in town. I am actually falling behind, but at one point I was about 7 away. I am also a fan of wine and I have visited a number of the west coast wine growing regions with my friends. My favorite varietal is Syrah. The Toasted Head is a very nice mid range price bottle that always makes me happy.
