Introduction I suppose I've always been creative in one way or another. I can remember cutting up bits of fabric and making things for my toys and using a French knitting dolly to weave useless strings of wool. It was my year 5 junior school teacher Mrs Edwards that taught me to sew in class and I loved it instantly. We didn't really do any proper sewing in senior school, so I only used my new skills to take up stupidly wide trousers and to sew band patches onto bags. It wasn't until I had my daughter in 2012 that I suddenly had all this creative energy that needed an outlet so I decided to get a sewing machine and see what I wad capable of! Now I'm no expert, my skill are basic but as I take on new projects I learn more and more. To me there is no better feeling than looking at something you've made and knowing it's the only one of its kind in the world. It's a warm and fuzzy thing!
