Introduction I've been a fan of miniatures since I was 6 years old. My very first purchase then was a silver tea & coffee service on a tray. I was introduced to the world of miniatures through the "Nutshell News" magazine back in 1981, and I began collecting. In 1989, I created my very first roombox..."The Curiosity Shoppe." It may be rudimentary, but it holds many lovely pieces made by known artisans of that time period. To date I have numerous roomboxes and dollhouses [I'm ashamed to say how many at present], as most are not finished. I have inspiring ideas, but seem to lack focus. Last night, I decided that I was going to begin a blog and force myself to complete these many, many "projects." Hopefully this will hold my feet to the fire, as I'll be making my plans public knowledge and that should keep me accountable. I've chosen the name "Pie-in-the-Sky," as that is my mother's opinion of my beloved hobby. I have already outlined a direction that I will be taking in this venture and I will do my level best to uphold my end of the bargain. I've already spent hours "entertaining" myself thinking about it, so now on to the task at hand, sharing with YOU!
