Introduction	I grew up cooking with produce fresh from my mother's garden in Terre Haute, Indiana. Education and careers in fashion, art and writing have since led me to live in some of the best cities for food and drink in the US -- New York, Austin, San Francisco and LA -- intensifying my passion for all things related to eating and drinking. I enjoy learning, trying new things and exploring, and food and drink are often the driving forces of my adventures. I'm also excited by other aspects of creating and sharing a meal -- community, conversation, ritual, tradition, celebration, feast and thanksgiving. Food can either be something we quickly ingest or it can be a celebration of life. Cava offers a bubbly toast to start the meal, kale provides health and vitality, and cream makes everything a little bit better. Cheers!
