Introduction	I'm currently holed up on a deadend dirt road in rural upstate NY, loving life as a newly retired person. Besides myself, the residents of Noble Ridge Farm include my husband and very underpaid farmhand J.D., Sailor, a 22-year-old Appaloosa, Titan, a 25-year-old Paint gelding, two very part-time barn cats, Lacey and Freya (who spend most of their time enjoying the good life here), and three chickens who have somehow avoided predators.
