| Introduction | Originally from Vermont, I left the small town where I was raised for the obvious reasons...to seek fame and fortune. That was in 1971. After 20 years on active duty with the United States Air Force, and now another 18 years working for nonprofits, I'm still seeking. I now life in Philadelphia with my great, wonderful, and beautiful wife, who is also a runner. We have two beautiful and successful grown daughters living in New Jersey and two fabulous grandchildren. The thing I love about running is its simplicity. I can do it anywhere and anytime, with nothing more than an $80 pair of shoes and a few bucks worth of clothing. Sure, I have the more expensive running clothes and a few electronic gadgets I use from time to time. But ultimately, running all comes down to just my body and mind. |
