| Introduction | Elena Mehlman is a 17 year old High School Senior at the Saint Ann’s School in Brooklyn NY. She was raised between Brooklyn, NY and Pietrasanta, Italy, where she developed a passion for cooking early on. She apprenticed for several summers with top Italian chefs, and is quite expert at Italian cooking and preparing desserts. After close family members became ill, and were required to cut out sugar and flour from their diets, she decided to dedicate her spare time to creating healthy, yet delicious foods for them to eat. This blog developed out of her desire to share her research with a larger population. |
