About me

Introduction	Gul Kacmaz Erk received her Bachelor and Master degrees in Architecture at Middle East Technical University. Her master thesis is entitled "Architecture and Cinema: A Relation of Representation Based on Space." She received her PhD in Architectural Design from Istanbul Technical University. She researched for her dissertation entitled "Architectural Space in the Digital Age: Cyberspace, Hyperspace and Exospace in Science Fiction Films" at the University of Pennsylvania. She worked as as an adjunct professor at Philadelphia University and Delft University of Technology. She was an assistant professor in the Department of Architecture at Izmir University of Economics, and a visiting scholar at the University College Dublin.
