| Introduction | My name is Mike May. I have coached both men’s and women's basketball for over 28 years including: International (First contracted American coach in Argentina), Junior College, High School, and Youth (coached all four of my sons). Playing days included: --El Camino Real High School, Los Angeles CA --Pierce College, Los Angeles CA --Brigham Young University, Provo UT I have been fortunate to have a number of great players and assistant coaches over the years, which have allowed me to enjoy winning success on all levels. Over the years I have authored a number of coaching articles featured in publications such as NABC Courtside, Winning Hoops, Nike Time Out, Coaching Management, WBCA Coaching Women's Basketball and a featured author on Basketball Highway. My passion for coaching also led to the creation of Practice Planner Live, an online tool that helps coaches create and track their team's practice plans at www.practiceplannerlive.com. My great passion for helping coaches become more effective teachers and planners has led to the creation of this blog. I look forward to sharing information with you and welcome your feedback. |
