About me

Introduction In September 2010 I weighed 224 lbs and developed GERD (acid reflux). I couldn't sleep most nights because of it. My diet was poor and I didn't exercise. My doctor gave me two prescriptions. I hated it. I hated having to take medicine every day. I hated the feeling of dependence. I started exercising in January 2011 and within a month I was off the meds. I started slow, with a walk/jog method and kept at it. I've lost 20 lbs and now I run 6 miles per day.
