| Introduction | Godfried is an un-retired geologist. He likes to help starting investors find their financial footing. Hence this blog. He is a member of REIN (Real Estate Investor Network) and worked a short while as a licensed Realtor in his home province Alberta. Godfried arrived in Calgary in 1979 with a Masters Degree in Geology from the Dutch State University of Utrecht. For the following 30 years he worked as a petroleum geologist, both international and in Canada. Godfried is an active investor from early onward; he is passionate about developing a life vision and achieving it. He has invested extensively in the stockmarket (member of Canadian ShareOwner) and in the late 1990's he branched off into investment real estate. Godfried semi-retired in 2007 from the oil patch to dedicate time to his family, travel, entertainment and investments. As any self-respecting babyboomer, he got bored and resumed his old career of petroleum geologist. |
