Introduction	The Foodivas are a group of fun loving foodies interested in adding a little F.L.O.S.S. to their lives- for those of you who are unfamiliar with foodie jargon that means Fresh, Local, Organic, Seasonal, Sustainable. The project began after creators Michelle and Lindsey were given the challenge of developing a project focused on local agriculture in their Agroecology and Sustainable Agriculture course at Western Washington University. Each week the ladies (who have yet to gain any XY chromosome members, but are open to the possibility) known as the Foodivas convene and share mouth watering delectables.. and the latest gossip of course. However, the Foodivas are not all fun and games. Dishes must be prepared using local, organic or seasonal items. The purpose of this venture is to make informed consumer choices through purchasing items that support local agriculture and create less of an impact on the environment. Over the next few months we'll have the opportunity to follow their misadventures as they turn a bunch of Joe Schmo consumers into a group of co-producers.
