Introduction	Thank you for visiting http://jimmie-applegate.blogspot.com/. My first question to you is Who said you can’t teach an old dog new tricks? That may be true if you do not have a competent, and patient, son who will walk with you as you go down new paths. Thanks Derek! This is my first attempt with my own blog site so bear with me as I become acquainted with the process. Should I wander off the path sometime you can reach me at jbapplemeister@gmail.com. I retired from Central Washington University in 1996 after more than a quarter of a century as a professor, department chairman and academic school dean. I also served as Central’s legislative liaison in Olympia for two years. I came out of the closet following my retirement and became active in the Kittitas County Republican Party. I am a constitutional conservative who believes in the concept of originalism and who follows a strict constructionism political philosophy. Most of my postings will have that orientation.
