| Introduction | I am indeed a country quilter in that I live in the Missouri Ozark area between Sullivan and Potosi Missouri. Dick & I retired to rural living with a bit of trepidation almost 3 years ago. Should people our age move where there is no cell phone service, no television access and no shoulders on the two lane roads? Being the adventurous types we are...yes. We have been challenged and rewarded many times & couldn't be more happy. Living in the solitude of nature may be as close to the Divine that can be experienced while still in this earthly state. It beckons creativity....thus quilting. I hand quilt at our parish, St. Joachims in Old Mines. Working and learning from the masters has been a rich experience. My personal quilting has been for family gifts and our parish blanket ministry. A friend and I started a Prayer Blanket ministry that to date has made & given away more than 200 quilts, shawls, blankets to those in need of prayer and comforting. Did I say I was retired?
