| Introduction | Hello, this BLOG is yet another way I pretend to be working. I've been a freelance illustrator and writer of children's books for what seems like hardly any time at all. (But scarily, is rather a long time.) As well as books, my work has also adorned such things as greeting cards, towels and fabric used for hospital gowns. (Apparently having jolly creatures smiling at you as you regain consciousness is big plus in some hospitals.) Right now I'm working on more picture books and 3 fiction books for older children 7-12. The Brilliant World Of Tom Gates is out April 2011 and I am ridiculously excited about it as this is the first fiction I've ever done. I live in sunny Brighton with my gorgeous family but no pets. My kids would happily swap me for a puppy I think, hopefully my husband would stop them. |
