Introduction	Hi, I am Chelsea and am new to Deakin. I have recently enrolled in a Doctorate of Psychology (Forensic Psychology). I was raised on Fraser Island, which is off the coast of Queensland. Relocating to another city at 29 years is hard, particularly when you need to do it on a budget. However while the logistics have left me temporarily homeless, having no money, no home, no friends, no family and ummm not much time – it gives you a whole new appreciation for the little things… like just how many cool little coffee shops there are (and I can at least afford to buy coffee!). On that note, my main concern when I started Uni was where to get a good coffee! While doing my undergrad, I wanted to do well but I also wanted to save money to travel. I ended up learning how to multi-task. However tempting it was to miss a class, I always made myself go and made myself stay because you never know what is soaking into your subconscious and it turns out what they were saying was actually pretty important! My best advice for new students is learning how to study smart. Listen what you are taught in first year because no one is as patient with you after that!
