| Introduction | I'm currently in my mid thirties trying to figure out how best to manage my finances for a comfortable retirement. I graduated from university in my early twenties with a degree in commerce. I also graduated with a $36,000 student loan which I finally paid off two years ago. As you can see by my student loan, I didn't have wealthy parents to rely on for my education. Four years ago, I married my lovely wife and we currently have one child. Balancing life and work is a challenge and on top of that, like most of us, we think about our finances to ensure we're doing the right things. Our goal isn't to "beat the market" or be filthy rich - although that would be nice - but really to ensure that we have a comfortble retirement and be able to affort to pay for our child's education.
