| Introduction | Hi, I'm Sarah, the founder of dysbooks.com. I'm an avid reader, and I have just begun my first attempt at writing a novel. I decided I wanted to be a writer when I was six years old, about the same time I found out I was dyslexic. Just before my dyslexia assesment some of the teachers at my school told my mum that I would probably never learn to read or write, and that I probably wouldn't cope with Secondary School. I now have a degree in English, American Studies and Creative Writing, 2.1. I currently work as a bookseller and I volunteer as the Web Developer for an organisation called TOTKO (Takes One to Know One), which helps, informs, and connects, people with learning disabilities, and those who support them. My hobbies include acting, traveling, and drawing. |
